Sharks Dominate in Daytona to Earn Four-Set Victory

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University Sharks Volleyball completed the season series sweep over the Embry-Riddle Eagles with a four-set victory on Friday evening.

How it Happened

- During the opening moments of the first set the Sharks took a 3-1 lead with kills by Erika Spankus and Taylor Stockman.
- The Sharks regained the lead at 8-5 following three consecutive points recorded by Olivia Aniol and Ella Kern.
- Brantley Chipley recorded a kill and a solo block to push the advantage to 10-6.
- Consecutive errors by the Eagles pushed the Sharks lead to 13-9.
- The Eagles responded with eight consecutive points to take the lead at 17-13.
- Erika Spankus and Olivia Aniol each tallied kills to stall the Eagles run as the score reached 19-15.
- The Sharks put together a late surge with points from Caiden Largent, Taylor Stockman, and Olivia Aniol to keep the set up for grabs at 24-20.
- The Eagles finished the set with a 25-20 final score.
